Intended to go 100+ miles with a bunch of climbing today. Instead experienced a series of unfortunate events which were ultimately survived and lived to tell the tale:
- before the ride, our cat Sputnik chewed through a rubber ring needed to attach my bike computer. Rubber band to rescue.
- Unforecasted snow falling pre-ride. Plunged headlong into it.
- Flat at mile 43. Fixed it, but bike pump broke! Uber XL to bike shop for air and new pump. And Dunkin
- At higher elevations in Harriman State Park, winter closed roads had snow. Instead of turning back, walked a mile along a parkway. Had to cross a stream to get to the other side and walk down an exit ramp. Took cleats and socks off to get across the icy rocks.
- Off normal course, ran out of food. Big Pizza at Bear Mountain lodge.
- Ride somehow got broken into 2 parts on the data. Cut it short for 75
- Got to experience the quaint little train station of Manitou on Metro North, which is more like a bus stop for trains.

All in all an adventure of a ride…
