3 caffeine energy gels did their work. Despite FOURTEEN salt tabs and never drinking straight water, cramp from 37km to 43km was as bad as I've ever had, really killed my race. 
A 1km detour 25km dropped me from 6th to 10th, that was fun (my fault, nobody else's). I caught them all back but then the cramps happened and i was absolutely stoked to hold on to 10th placed male with a very large 50km PB. Edit: PB of just over 12 minutes

OH! The volunteers were absolute angels of mercy. Lollies, coke, zooper doopers, electrolyte drinks. All kept me going
