Normal walk with mom, except when we approached Albie, he actually ran from us. We've never seen that behavior before, but right as I was saying my first words to him, a car came down the road from behind and perhaps it seemed like a trap to him. We hung out a bit but eventually went home.

To get time on my feet, I left my pack on while I did some things and then, when the sun was relatively bright and it had warmed up a bit, I went back to see if I could find Albie. Albie was nowhere to be seen when I arrived, but he did come out soon thereafter, so I asked him to either say "Happy Birthday Joe" (for Endurance Riding legend Joe Long, who turned 83 today) or to eat mealworms out of my hand. Albie doesn't (yet?) know Joe, so chose the mealworms.

Whee!
