Running was excellent on most of it, thanks to snowshoe hikers and snowmobiles. Warmish day so it was soft, but still hardpacked enough to move fast on most of it. Spikes not necessary but they did make things easier digging in, so I kept them on.  

Note to fellow route planners of the Range: there's still no snowmo tracks on the west side. Some of that was some fairly difficult to run on.
