"Sunk Cost Fallacy?" - "No, we've come this far, we might as well go on!" Dawn Patrol starts at 3pm -- sunrise in Tasmania? -- in search of sinkholes along Dead Run. We smile for security cameras and scan for paths between homes. ("Don't shoot! This is a public safety inspection!") Finally, by the bridge on Benjamin Street, a rutted muddy track leads into the woods. K2 spies a beautiful pair of mallard ducks, female and male, paddling in the stream. Near a flood gauge a hut on stilts measures water quality and radios in the results. The day feels hot and humid. Eventually we come to our senses and climb out to the road.

("Beliefs should be knobs, not switches!") We mull over the distinction between exploring deep, subtle theological concepts vs mocking religious doctrine. Sometimes conventional frameworks need to be challenged. A wee sweet angular home stands on stilts by Whann Avenue; we eyed it previously in November 2015.
