I wanted to rent a mountain bike to do the gravel section, but I couldn’t work it out logistically. Today was my last day on the Big Island, so I decided to just go ahead and send it all on the SuperSix. 

I ended up having to walk basically the entire gravel section which sucked because I was over 5 minutes up on the KOM before I lost 13 minutes in the gravel. Power meter and heart rate both stopped working while I was walking.
