You did it!
Yeew! You should make a segment that covers the whole 10k feet.
just did: https://www.strava.com/segments/10131042?filter=overall
Also, there was 4-6 inches of snow at the top so we had to leave our bikes and walk the final half mile. These summer thunderstorms are strange. Substantial snow in August!
King of the Lower 48!
Holy shit Menso! I love the 6mph average and 10 hr ride time!

What an EPIC recovery ride. Mucho Kudos!
Dude you are wild for starting from town! Just tried to summit from Shulman and got blocked by tons of snow. Seems like late July is the best time to go.
Looks like a brutal ride! I'll have to get out there next summer. Here are some local semi-epic routes Matt and I have done this year if you are ever short on ride ideas...
Los Padres Traverse: https://www.strava.com/activities/238988869
San Raphael Peak: https://www.strava.com/activities/324791364
SB Front Range: https://www.strava.com/activities/246213108
oh man, that Los Padres traverse has been on my hit list for a few years. Let me know if you are planning to do rides like these again and I'd love to join in the fun.
Just read up on your adventure on your forum. That is most excellent. That kinda stuff is what I dream of doing some day.
Gotta do this someday, so epic!
this is so freaking cool
