I had fresh tracks all the way up Green and all the way down Ranger until I hit the Greenman junction. There I saw two tracks. Homie, who followed my tracks up, told me this was Dakota Jones and Scott Jurek - two of the best ultrarunners in the country and the world. The only person I saw was my friend Jacob with his dog. I'd have finished with him, but he wasn't running. Or even walking. He was creeping down a technical slab. No worries, as I'm running with him on Thursday.
Only 1-2" of snow on the trails so it shouldn't have made me much slower, but I guess I was dogging it.
Better than my total bitchin' mile-long lunch walk yesterday? :-)
I can't tell if you are sarcastic or not. Either way, thanks. Fun to have fresh tracks when it isn't much work to break trail.
We both reverted to our normal routes!
Nah compliment! You are put there running with the hardcores!
