Morning Run

I think this is probably my favorite loop in the right conditions. Ran the first four miles with my high school bully/role model Andrès, who is still fit as hell. 

The climb from brown mount saddle up to ken burton trail is so runnable and I found a sweeert rhythm on it today, then tried to rip the downhill switchbacks which are pretty heavily overgrown. Was moving fast until a misstep at the bottom and I went down pretty hard, but just slid across the ground for a while, no serious impact. 

I was drenched in sweat before the fall, so after sliding around in the sand I was covered in a good thick layer of gross dirt. Thankfully I was at the bottom near the arroyo so I went down to wash off at the creek that was flowing heavily last time I did the loop; only to find it completely dry. Bummer

The creek flows again about two miles down from there, and I cleaned my wounds and brought it home. (Quick pits too at 13 to refill one of my flasks)

Finally got the Ken Burton loop record. Would love to give the loop at a full hard effort with no stops, I think I could get close to 1:35 on the right day. 

Legs usually feel super mildly after the switchbacks downhill, today they felt strong and fresh and I cruised it in. 

Also I met Don from Los Feliz Flyers TC in the parking lot. Hi Don!
