Super-dead-tired, legs like jelly, energy and spirit depleted. Then I moved on to the 2nd climb...

This was a solo ride? Wow. You've made a meteoric rise into the upper echelons of CK, dude.

I was with Andy for Hanase, before he had to return home for family stuff. And you'd still leave me in the dust, Henry. All these recent PRs are not mine, they're the new bike's.

That's what all the fast guys say. "I can't help it - my bike just wants to go fast" :)

Is Onyu pass free of debris now?

Nigel, it's easily passable by road bike, but "free of debris" is not a phrase one would use. I rode it with Manseki earlier in the summer, and he said it's *much* better now than when you had the flat-tire-fest group ride in the spring. You can see some pictures of the worse spots in this blog post from when I road it with Neil and Arthur in July: http://regex.info/blog/2015-08-19/2605

Nigel, as another indication of its current state, look at my time on the descent segment :-)

Yes, I noticed that. Either you have amazing tyres, unbelievable luck, or the road is smooth c:

The limit for my descending speed is my comfort envelope, which is still very restrictive. The road is pretty smooth, but a few patches of brown-green slime lurk in some corners, so take care. If you have a weekday off that you'd like to go do it together, I'd be honored!
