Fish Finger Friday...

I bolted on a 10mile pre-ride ride as contingency to get a 100km in today, 7 set off from Chelmsford and headed out via Terling with a 24MPH SWS wind which should have increased our outbound average speed but it never went much more than 12.5mph. Elevenses was taken at West Street Vineyard in Coggeshall (Tea & Crumpets) and then 3 set off to Mount Bures in the sunshine.  Lunch at the 8 Bells in Bures and then off up hte hill past the tank back home in to the now headwind..  hard going was made in to the wind with a tea break at Notley Golf Club.  A very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday, all that headwind on the tour in Netherlands was good training!
