Guess you've every right to be tired. Awesome job!
Remind me when u're doing double the distance?
Stu, after today, the idea of 100 miles on that mud fills me with terror. But April 30 if it happens.
Fantastic effort - how did you do against your target time?
Malcolm, no real target as so little to compare against at that distance. I am terrified at the prospect of having to run double that in 24h if still muddy in April.
You beat my guess by 1.5 hours or so - really impressed with your time in the conditions! From my experience of mountain biking endurance the terror you are feeling is good - use it to make sure you are properly prepared. Combining solid prep with the right level of determination (failure only means you'll have to do it again) is a recipe for success! (oh, and put those mental scars aside - they heal much more easily when you finish).
Awesome Nick. In my experience of ultra runners (I know a few out here) you have the right amount of madness to do the 100. Rather you than me though, I'll stick to playing at Triathlon and Biathlon
