Great run Gia, looking all set for a great time at Manchester.
Outstanding run Gia, that's a great pace, you are going to run a great time at Manchester!
Amazing run :)
Great running Gia. I notice the pace dropped off by a few seconds per km in the last half of your run. Was that deliberate? If not, I was going to suggest you take it a little easier at the start, but if it's like most of these events, you won't have much choice but to run at the speed of the crowd in front of you, which will probably be slow for the first couple of miles. I recommend you take it easy now up to the race. Nothing too fast, nothing too slow and nothing more than a handfull of miles.
I ran by feel, Trevor!
...and, at the start, I was more comfortably sub-8'/mi than intended. I figured I'd make hay while the sun shone, the underlying goal remaining to clock sub-8'/mi throughout. A week on Sunday I'll be part of a pacing team, so hopefully they'll take care of that..!
...and yes, taper time! The plan is 3.3 / 3.3 / 6.6 for the rest of this week, then 6.3 / 6.0 / 5.0 / 3.0 / 2.0 / 1.5 in the build-up to the marathon. Should I revise some of those down? I might just do that...
That taper looks fine to me Gia. Very similar to my own in fact ;)
That looks like a very sensible taper, Gia. Not that I know much about them :)
Cracking pace Gia!
Excellent running Gia, hugely impressive.
