One last Buckman banger before Shamrock

Put on some pants, or at least some really high socks.

The classic return to where it all began. Sunflower never disappoints and said sunflowers were out in force out there.  First time being back here since 2017 (where I ran legs 1 and 2 instead of 4 and 5) and first live event since pre-Rona (2019 Hood to Coast for those of you keeping score at home haha). Kinda used first couple miles and that initial climb to warmup as beforehand was more just stretching, drills, and very light jogging near exchange. Overall felt good/strong/smooth and rain wasn't nearly as bad as forecast made it seem. My stomach was well...my stomach but overall felt relaxed and didn't even mob the downhills at an out of control rate for the sake of my joints. Thinking this will now become routine as I'm no longer bound to a designated spring track season anymore. Just what I needed to "spring" back into the swing of things, now to just figure out what's next. This both gave me hope in the event I were to pursue a Natty Hunt at Gnar Gnar in August and made me realize that there is still work to be done if I were to pursue that route. All around great fun, thanks Methow Trails for putting this on and all the more kudos for doing so mid-pandemic.
