Looks like a bit of struggling that last km. Hope it was just fatigue and not an injury!

I think that the heat got me. I am faster on -10C than on +20. And it was warmer than that + sun. Another thing, I started too fast. If I had 4:30 first couple km, I would be able to manage the end better. If you check the laps, you will see that my average HR was extremely high. Another thing, I am kind of emotionally drained. 4 fast races this year, and I am not ready for them, being fresh from the injury.
Thank you for asking, it feels good to let all this stuff out. To make things worse, Strava did not convert it right from MovesCount, my pace was 4:34, not 4:47. :) Enjoy Mexico!

Sounds like my Baden race last year. Check out km 9... I ground to a halt and walked for about 50 meters (http://www.strava.com/activities/301129923/overview). That too was one of the first warm days of spring last year (around 20 degrees). Probably good to take a little break with some easy running... then ramp up again after you feel refreshed. It's a long season...:-)

Thanks! I'm definitely finding running very difficult here in this heat!

Wow, I checked my log. I ran on May 10th. It was +28. Thank you for sharing. Very similar situation. It happens to fast guys too. ;)
