2026 North End Classic

Ate and slept well last night. Thanks to Queen City Running Company https://shopqcrc.com in Marquette, this event raises funds for JJ Packs https://jjpacks.org - an organization that provides nutritious food for children in need on the weekends.

Travel to Marquette was smooth and uneventful. So was W/U before the race that doubled up as a course and wind recon. Got the opportunity to pace Ana for this race. Kristin https://www.strava.com/athletes/2309799 and Paige https://www.strava.com/athletes/57508055 being the saints they are, they got me their pacer singlet and bib to make it my official Halloween costume for this event!

Ana and I got a moving start to the race and started under control. With the winds being what they were, I opted to bank a little time during the first half and modified the script just a little. When we crossed the finish line, Ana did meet her goal of 0:21:07 or faster, and in turn earn herself a new PR for this distance.

Given how the last several weeks have gone, I wouldn't have run nearly as well or as fast (0:21:08.5) without Ana. Neither would have I looked nearly as good as I did in the costume without Kristin and Paige. Our finish times were good enough for our respective AG wins as well.
