Madrid Ride 6: How Will My Body Perform in 100 Degree Heat? 
the short answer: horribly. i decided to go for a spin after a day that reached highs of 104 degrees. my body was not happy. i forgot my heart rate monitor so i am lacking the data to support my hypothesis but it felt as though my heart lept to my throat as soon as i clipped in. it did not leave for the entirety of my ride. the heat was stifling. after an amazing weekend of surfing my body was tired but i needed to understand how badly this week might hurt :)
