Great Climb. Can you pls tell if there is a best time of teh year to do this climb and also why there are so many more trucks on teh descend towards Manizales , than on teh actual 80 km climb up. Thx

  14. Alejandro Jimenez 🇨🇴 🇲🇾

August - October is a great time of the year to do this climb. related with the amount of trucks, I don´t really know about it.

Hola Alejandro. He leído tu blog / historia sobre el ciclismo "alto de letras". Muy interesante!!! Espero que visito Colombia y Medellin otra vez en los próximos 4-5 meses. Estoy curioso lo que tus colinas favoritas cerca Amaga y Medellin?

  16. Alan M.

Sean, I have cycled from Medellin every year for the last 4 - you can look back on my January-April rides to see them. There are many local climbs, Las Palmas, Sa Elena, escobero, la Pintada to name a few or you can drop down fo Barbosa and access several climbs from there. Have fun and if you're around early 2016 we can try a few together, Cheers, Alan

  17. Sean O'Flynn

Excellent, thanks Alan. I'll check those out and will keep you posted about early 2016. Cheers.
