Man what a bittersweet race. On one hand it’s a 34 second PR and objectively the best race I’ve ever run - on the other it’s tough to be so close to the OTQ time and not get it. 

Was in the front pack through 9 miles and feeling good, the problem is that we were 15 seconds behind 63:00 pace at that point and needed to close hard to get it. We picked it up to 4:42 the 10th mile then I got dropped in mile 11 while running a 4:45, and after that just couldn’t keep the faster pace going

Still a good fitness indicator, hopefully in 5 weeks I run under 2:18 and missing it here doesn’t matter anymore
