BMX Racing!

Man, I love this trail. 

Some highlights from the day:
Sunrise from the top of MVH.
Everything so much greener, seemingly overnight- colors were popping. 
Quick pitstop at my house mile 50- made a wrap with black beans and eggs.
Most trails pretty firm and flowing, (but there are always the known rough sections)
Veggie burrito at Damark’s.
Bridge was out across stream in Napeague SP- had to get the hooves wet to cross.
Locked gates at Squiretown Park, Montauk County Park, and Lighthouse- found ways around and over.
Sunset from the top of Hither Woods.
Spooked about 50 horses in the dark at MCP, when I got them running it was thunderous and spooked me.
A few ticks.
Thorns cut me up from Hither to the point, but those tight windy trails are actually super fun. Like riding through a tunnel. Never know what’s around the bend.
Point Woods dishes quite the jostling with all those roots and rocks.
Nothing like hearing the ocean at the end of this one- riding along from the top of the bluffs down to the beach at Turtle Cove.
And of course you can’t end this ride before walking the rocks along the edge of the lighthouse. 
I was motivated to finish by 9:30 so I could ride back to the train station for a 10:04, and it worked out perfectly. 5 minutes to spare after buying 2 cans of wave chaser at Sausages Pizza.
Shaved 8+ hours off my previous time 👌🏼
