Ammmmaazing that is awesome well done Matt all the training is paying off! How was the course?
Tidy! Looking good for a sub-3:10' marathon!
Thanks guys! Helen, looking for sub 3.05. Michelle, it was OK, quite cool running round the F1 parts but there were some very lonely very boring sections on support roads. Decent goody bag but cotton tee :-( decent value and PB friendly though not totally flat, more rolling.
I hate my ridiculous amounts of tech tees, I'd love to get a cotton tee instead once in a while. Based on a 1:27-8 half you'll be on for about 3:03
Usually at London marathon events you get a decent Adidas tech tee but alas. It'll do to wear/chuck in the London pen!
T2 = T1 x (D2/D1)1.06
Good skillz. Decent time.
Fingers crossed! Bramley 20 was a good confidence booster. Just got to get to the start line in one piece and hope for the best.
Doesn't always translate that way Julius, I don't think, I've ran a 1:27 but wouldn't feel confident running sub 3:05
It's surprising how accurate it can be, assuming that you've trained for the distance that is.
Smoking Matt great run,
Sounds cool running on the track but shame on the unsupported bit! Maps looks cool! Enjoy celebrating!
They vary a bit. I tend to use mcmillan and I've always found that my longer distance time are comparatively stronger against my shorter distance times. Which makes sense for me, I'm not the speediest due to my size which is important for the shorter stuff but at the endurance I seem to do a bit better. Be interesting to see how this translates in London but all the signs look positive.
Great job well done
Official time 1.27.24, those seconds count!
Awesome. Well done again
Cracking time Matty
