Well that was hot. I knew today was going to be about adversity based on the forecast and the bloom of bugs this last week but I underestimated how un-heat trained I am and how much those damn flies would get under my skin (literally and figuratively). Tough day. I haven’t done anything yet this year that really pushed me past my comfort zone but this did a right fine job of it!

I know I could do this significantly faster in ideal conditions but I’ll post up the first out-and-back FKT. The bar is set pretty low. I’ll look forward to seeing who can push that a little further down and how hard I might have to try to earn it back.
