This is my favorite scene from my favorite short film.  Growing up, my sister and I used to try to eat corn this way, making the manual typewriter sounds.  (She declined to reenact this scene for this post. 😊)

This was another case where I set out on Day 1 for Donald Duck without having plotted exactly Mickey Mouse and the rest. 🤦‍♂️ I had wanted to keep it around 2 days/50 miles.  Other than the center bowl getting some value engineering, it all worked out. 🤷‍♂️ 

Sat 7/1, 2:15-7:00pm: 25.5 miles
* lentil soup (with much needed salt) and Coke from Bistro Mediterraneo
* kept pace mostly in the high 9's despite the heat
* Biofreeze packet at mile 21

Sun 7/2, 1:30-7:00pm: 25 miles
* iced coffee from Cafe Réveille on Steiner; breakfast donut from Bob's on Baker; Fiorella on Polk on the way home
* pace dragged into the 10's with more elevation and the heat
* did get some inspiration from running into and chatting with WSER 100 finisher David Lam
* Biofreeze packets at miles 18, 22

Mon 7/3, 11:20am-2:20pm, finishing 48 hours later: 15.5 miles
* ice cream from Miyako; espresso from Juniper Cafe; obligatory ear of corn from Golden Farmer Market
* pace mostly back in the high 9's, the cooler temperature offsetting the soreness
* Biofreeze at mile 12
