Used AboutTheRide.ca - Victoria Segment Challenge segment 5B as an excuse to get out. Journeyed down Ross Durance and oh my fuck, almost went down hard. Tucked and down while pedalling I hit a pot hole in the road which I didn’t see. The rear tire seriously felt like it went 1’ in the air and right sideways. I didn’t panic and moderated the front brake well. After both tires were back down I locked the rear twice then managed to gain control. Yet I was drifting hard left, luckily I scrubbed enough speed and kept the rubber side down. I need to be a bit more wise about sunglasses in shade, pushing around blind corners and needlessly pushing for speed down hills. Learning lesson for sure
