Shoutout to my body for pulling this off! I had the FKT in the back of my mind but wasn’t set on it after a tiring couple of weeks with lots of mileage, travel, and field work. My goals were to keep moving with few breaks and to be efficient with water stops and pole transitions to practice for a bigger FKT effort in a couple weeks and that went well and got me an FKT by about 40 minutes! Tough but gorgeous loop on a hot day with an especially brutal 3000 ft climb finish. Thanks to Christian Canham for keeping me company in the first 12 miles. And congrats to Michael Tappel who also set an FKT on this loop today!!
