Thank you Garrett Harris!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿƒ๐ŸฝKiley Allarea. Actually I was at sectionals all day supporting my team and I was an alternate for the 2 mile and didn't get to run, so the bus didn't get back until like 11pm last night, and I have big dreams that require some serious dedication Leila Sermek!

Great job!!! That is the only way you can achieve what you want. Every extra effort counts twice. Michael Phelps practiced on Sundays when everyone else would take a break. Go for it!!!

Exactly! Its all about no days off (and recovering well to avoid injury) Leila Sermek

Experts are still perplexed how Michael Phelps can recover so fast. Me too. He can swim one great race after another. It is all about training. These days they can do tests to determine whether you are recovered and figure tune the training accordingly. For us mortals we need to do trial an error approach.

It's probably because he eats 10,000 calories a day to help recover fast

I think the body learns to adapt to whatever training you do and gradually building up over years and years can allow your body to think even the craziest training is only normal. When I started running I could only dream of running as much as I do now without getting injured but now it just seems normal, so I think it's a long term buildup. Plus lots of sleep and a proper diet and good genetics! People don't realize that the pros build up to that level of training over decades you can't just start out running 150 miles a week it takes a long time and patience! Leila Sermek

Yeah, I learned it hard way. Got tendonitis last year. It seems that my limit is low 20ies per week. Just need to remind myself about those decated you mentioned ๐Ÿ˜•

Strength training is also really helpful to avoid injury while upping your mileage! Leila Sermek
