I'm 48 and I live on a hill, have done all my life lol one hill or another it seems. Back cycling three ears now after a gap of twenty-five. My asthma was out of control so I decided to get fit and lose some weight and see if my asthma inproved, which it does during summer. Between the turbo in winter and the road in summer, I love getting out and about on my bike. I bought a mountain bike to start then an Aluminum Giant deft 2 which I now use on the turbo and am the proud owner of a Cervelo R3 sram red which I got for a steal and couldn't leave after me in the bike shop. Brilliant bike, not buying another. I purchased Workouts in a binder for the indoor cyclist 2 years ago on amazon and use that as my turbo base training on my Kurt Kinetic Trainer. Great book, good disciplined workouts with a winter plan and can be used in conjuction with road work. Use Garmin connect to upload the workouts to my Garmin edge 510 and away you go. Love all types of music but have to say Ministry of Sound works for me on the turbo sessions. I like to build my season from March on the road. Starting slow and ramping up in four weekly segments. three weeks progressively harder one week recovery. Works for me, enjoy the bike, use a light, be safe and next time you come to a hill cycle faster donkeys lol.
