For those of you who struggled to get and stay active, what changed? I tried running every summer for a decade and giving up wasn't just an option, it was just what I did. I thought that because I was struggling, and because it was so painfully difficult, I wasn't cut out to be a runner. But one day, I didn't turn around when I stopped to walk. I kept walking. And then I ran a little. And walked a little. And the rest is history. It wasn't easy. Hell, it still isn't. But I stopped giving up. And now I run to remind myself that I'm not a quitter. For anyone who has experienced something similar, I would love to hear what changed for you.
