Born into a gypsy community in northern Spain, Jack grew up chasing Basque separatists in the Pyrenees mountains on a comicly undersized tricycle. At the age of 12 his family was massacred in a revenge bicycle bombing and he left the Pyrenees to work as a high altitude rescue cyclist working from Mt Everest base camp. There he discovered the teachings of Buddha, and helped smuggle over 2000 Tibetan monks into Nepal. Jack then studied under the Dalai Lama in Dharamsala, where he learnt to cycle over water. He then cycled to Australia from Nepal, over the Indian Ocean, pausing briefly in Burhma to negotiate the release of Ang Sung Su Chi. Jack now lives in Melbourne where he works as a quality control consultant for Apple.
