Started running training 3 years ago, which also got me back on the bike. I want to be able to run so that I enjoy it and not just as a means of exercise. I conquered Snake Pass summit on the road bike in June 2015 and Holme Moss Summit in September 2015. October 2016 saw me complete the Ronhill Run Everyday challenge - to run once every day in October 2016. It certainly was a challenge but I completed it and felt my fitness really improve. October 2017 I completed RED October once again and added an extra 19 days to the total making a round 50 days running streak. My next little challenge was to run to the Woodhead Tunnel and back on the Longdendale Trail - a half marathon. I completed that in March 2017 along with a 5k and a 10k which were all run in aid of the charity Children With Cancer and the fact that I got 3 very lovely Mr.Men medals for my effort and my donation to the worthy cause.. After RED October I had a bit of a rest with a small challenge of 4 X 5k's in December. And now it's 2018 and I'm pushing again to RED January alongside a little 100km total for the month. I'm tempted to RED for the whole of 2018 and go for 1000km in the year. Let's see how things go...
