Started running as a 12 year old and over time improved my speed, endurance and strength. Made my first state team and placed last in the National School Boys held in Tasmania 1981. In 1983 I won the event in Canberra. Since that time I have represented Australia in the World XC as both a junior and senior athlete in 85', 94' and 96'. I ran the marathon at the World Track and Field Championships in Athens (97') and was a member of the 1995 Australian team that won the International Ekiden Relay in Chiba.
Qualified for the 96' and 2000 Olympic games in the marathon and the 98' Commonwealth Games but failed to gain selection.
Marathon Pb set in Chicago in 1999 2hr13m26s (12th)
Silver and Bronze in the National Half Marathon Championships.
65 senior state titles in distances from the 1500m through to half marathon. State record holder for the 5km, 10km, Half marathon and marathon. 11 time winner of the Perth City to Surf.
I am now returning to running after a break to regain a degree of fitness.
