I started running in 2003 having decided I needed to get healthier after drinking and eating far too much as a student. I signed up for the Bristol half having not run a step, which I completed in 2.17. Fast forward to now- I've been a member of Cheddar running club (second claim vegan runners) for 4 years and have got my half time down to 1:27:57 (!!) and ran my first marathon in 3:08:28. I am somewhat addicted to it but feel it's a healthy way of appeasing my slightly obsessive tendencies :)
