I ride to stay healthy and inspire others. I'm on top of the podium everyday I wake up and I'm able to ride my bike. My race, my pace. MY STORY... I never thought I would ride my bicycle again. I was on a training ride in July of 2010 when I collapsed alongside of the road with third-degree heart block. Pacemaker implant surgery followed and fixed the complete electrical block of my heart. Today I'm 100% pacemaker dependent and I continue to fuel my cycling obsession with daily training rides on my mountain bike. Since my pacemaker was implanted in 2010 I'm blessed and proud that I have been able to ride over 14,000 miles and climb over one million feet of elevation gain. My VO2 max hovers around 33 making sprint type of mountain bike racing a real challenge. I concentrate mainly on endurance and climbing events. I'm a former pro motocross, supercross and speedway motorcycle racer. I've been a motor sports announcer for many years, Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach (35 years) and Costa Mesa Speedway (19 years) and I produce high-engery radio commercials. SPECIAL THANKS TO...
