The symptoms of Meniere's disease have been fierce for the last few years. After 2015, my activity level was zero until the end of June. I have recently had the first of 2 endolymphatic mastoid shunt surgeries. The second one is scheduled for August 15, 2018. At this point, it feels good just putting my feet on the ground every day. I'm thankful that my dream of regaining my balance is manifesting before my eyes. As the window of stability begins to open, I'm loving the newness of being on the Hog again. Having 6 months of the year to work with, it is reasonable to set the goal of 500,000 feet of elevation through the end of 2018. That's approximately 750 reps! If my recovery continues to progress as it has, I have dreams of becoming an elevation millionaire again in 2019. My hope is to inspire others with vestibular disorders to keep moving!
