Strava Races are an entirely new way to race. Using the Strava app or a compatible GPS device, runners can compete at any time of day on a predetermined race course. A results leaderboard ranks the times of competitors, showing how they stack up against other runners in the area.
About the Course:
The Columns Drive 5 Miler takes place along the the Chattahoochee river. It's an out and back course on Columns Drive SE, with a turnaround at the intersection of Johnson Ferry Road NW. A detailed course map and directions can be found to the right on this page.
Look for the bright orange Sprinter Van at the race start parking lot on Saturday. Team Strava will be out all day providing racers with nutrition and support.
How Strava Races Work:
- Register - Enter the race by clicking the 'Enter Race' button at the top of the page (for this pilot, we're waiving the race entry fees).
- Compete - Record and upload your race attempt using the Strava app for iOS/Android or a compatible GPS device.
- View Results - Visit this race page to see your result, which will be reported in real-time.
Have fun and be safe. Use common sense when it comes to traffic, weather, or other conditions while taking part in the race. Open for running only.
