Adventure Cycling Challenge
Challenge yourself to see new places and capture the moments in photos!
Challenge Ended: April 7, 2015
As the seasons begin to change, we challenge you to ride on routes you’ve yet to explore and to chronicle your adventure with photos. Sync your photos to Strava, and tag #stravaphoto in your activity title. We'll feature some of the most epic journeys, and you'll be eligible to purchase exclusively designed Adventure Challenge apparel.
Complete an adventure ride that’s two hours or longer between March 21st and April 7th and unlock the ability to purchase an exclusive Adventure Challenge kit. While you're out there, upload a photo and tag it #stravaphoto.
Whatever your pace, challenge yourself to look up and take in the stunning vistas hidden all around you on your journey. Grind gravel, ride unexplored roads or take on a new singletrack adventure on your mountain bike--it’s all about seeing a new perspective. Set off for parts unknown and show us what you find.
Complete the Challenge and you will unlock the ability to purchase a limited edition Strava Adventure Kit.
The Adventure jersey features a sweatproof zippered pocket for your mobile device, reflective tabs to ensure visibility, and textured stretch fabric on the sleeves and side panels for improved aerodynamics.
The purchasing window will close 3 days after the Challenge ends. The expected delivery time is 5 weeks.
Athletes that take part in this Challenge will receive a digital finisher badge in their Trophy Case.
You have to ride two hours (moving time) in a single ride and the elapsed time of the ride must be under 24 hours.
The Challenge starts and ends based on each athlete's local time zone.
Manual entries, trainer rides, or rides marked private will not count towards your Challenge effort.
All activities logged during the Challenge period must be uploaded to Strava no later than three days after the Challenge ends.
Ride hard and be safe. Use common sense when it comes to traffic, weather, or other conditions while taking part in this Challenge. Remember to take care of your hydration and nutrition needs when you’re out on the road.
