Skill Level: Intermediate to advanced cyclists and triathletes (if on a tri bike, aero bars may only be used when off the front or back of the group). Must be comfortable riding in a group and maintaining an average pace of 18-20 mph.
Start Time/Location: Saturdays at 8:00 AM from Blur Cycleworks. (Time varies—check Blur Cycleworks’ Strava page for updates)
Additional Info: Helmets are required and must be worn at all times. No in-ear headphones are to be worn for the safety of the peloton. All riders must carry a complete flat changing kit and be knowledgeable about changing a flat, using a rear light, water, and any food items they will need during the ride.
Ride Overview:
Route Options: Two routes—one to Taylor and another to Weir (used when the wind is from the north).
Rest stop: We will stop midway to replenish fluids and feed during the route.
Ride Pace: No-drop within reason. Regroups are short in length with a steady pace of 18–22 mph. Riders must be prepared to maintain this pace for 50–60 miles. This is to help improve fast endurance riding.
Total Ride: ~50–60 miles, duration varies.
Important: Rides begin and end at the shop unless otherwise disclosed. Routes are subject to change due to traffic, construction, events, or other things that could impact the safety of the ride. Cancellations, start time, and location updates will be announced via Strava and will be done so 1 hour before the original start.
