2019 Tacoma Bike Swap Ride

We're heading to the 2019 Tacoma Bike Swap, so why not go in style and roll in on two wheels instead of four.

The Tacoma Bike Swap is the largest bicycle-related event in the South Sound region. Whether you are looking to buy, sell, or simply looking to find other riders, join us for this exciting community event!

WHAT TO EXPECT

*Vendors selling new and used bikes, gear and accessories.
*A participatory Bike Corral where you can sell or swap a small number of bikes without registering as a vendor - just register your items at the Bike Corral booth.
*Local bike experts offering advice and doing minor repairs.
*Map Masters handing out the latest Pierce County Bike Map.
*Affordable helmets.
*Kids bikes, scoots, trailers and more!

* Kids can practice riding in the Bike Rodeo
* Win bike swag at the Pierce Transit prize wheel
* Grab a tasty meal at a food truck

We'll meet up at the Gig Harbor 7 Seas location, and head towards the bridge. After crossing, it's straight into Tacoma, out to Old Town and the 30th Street Climb. After that brutal beast, we'll take a break at the Bike Swap, where we'll show our support for the South Sound Cycling Community, while we check out the Swap, and grab a bite at the food trucks. After the event, we'll head back towards the bridge and 7 Seas, where we can grab a pint and brag about the spoils.

Of note, if you intend to buy anything small at the Swap, you may want to bring a backpack. As for larger items, you should be able to pay and have it set aside. And please remember to bring cash.

Our pace will be roughly 14-16 MPH, with occasional sprints. But we will ALWAYS regroup. Please remember to bring water and equipment, and tools in case of mechanical issues.
