The Club now known as Parramatta Cycling Club started off in 1962 as Parramatta Police Citizens Boys Club Cycling.
In 1963 George Bates and George Bonham took over the cycling section from the Police Citizens Cycling to form the Parramatta City Amateur Cycling Club.
In the late 1960’s funds were raised to renovate and install lighting around the cycling track at Merrylands Oval. Due to the support from Holroyd Council, the Club changed its name to Parramatta Holroyd Amateur Cycling Club (PHACC).
In the late 1990’s, PHACC became what it is known as today – Parramatta Cycling Club.
