February running ladder; run 1 km on 1st, 2 km on 2nd, 3 km on 3rd, ... , 29 km on 29th.

Catch up: if starting late, augment your runs to catch up to the total due.

Scaling: keep climbing the ladder until it gets too much, then descend one step at a time, e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

Suggestion: multiple runs in a day probably causes less attrition for high mileage days, e.g. run to work, short lunch run, run home, evening run.
