"Go do something crazy.” That’s the spirit driving Ali Butler-Glenesk, an average runner who woke up one morning and hatched the ultimate challenge for herself: Become the fastest known woman to run across her home state of California.
“Running gives me a place for my rage on the bad days and a place for my joy on the good days,” Ali said. “Leading up to the run across California (which we affectionately now call RAC), I went through a harder period at work. My career was not progressing in the ways I would have hoped and I often felt incredibly down on myself. I knew that if I was going to quit my job and forge a new path, I wanted to have some specific goals to head towards. I came up with the idea for RAC and everything just started falling into place.”
