IMPORTANT NOTICE!!: ALL CYCLISTS MUST STAY WITHIN THE YELLOW LINE YOU ARE NOT ONLY ENDANGERING YOUR OWN LIFE BUT ALSO THE LIFE OF YOUR FELLOW CYCLISTS IN THE GROUP. WE CALL ON EVERYBODY TO PLEASE REPRIMAND A TRANSGRESSOR.

MIXED GROUP: Starting at 07:30 travelling at speeds between 22 km/h and 33 km/h. Relaxed pace to Du Vlei, the racing snakes can test each other on the way back.
Route: - Paarl, Wellington, Hermon (Du Vlei Farmstall) for a compulsory coffee stop. Afterwards back to Paarl via Wellington - a total distance of 75 km. [Route is flattish with some rolling hills]

One Free Coffee and Energy Bar at Du Vlei Restaurant / Farmstall for EVERYBODY that joins the ride supplied by the two sponsors, i.e. Droomers Nissan and Kroff Cycles. Any other purchases will be for your own account.

Niel O'Connell will be waiting with a mountain biking group at 07:45 at Mariaan se Koffieshop across Wellington Station and join the road bikes. From Du Vlei they will head home via the Bo-Hermon road.

The Droomers Nissan safety vehicle will be driven this week by Adrian Curlewis (Cellular: 082 855 8012) and will follow the last rider(s) from the 07:30 group to Du Vlei and the last rider(s) back.

Cyclists must please ensure that they have a spare tube and a bicycle pump with them.

GROUP RULES: All cyclists must abide by all traffic laws. Do not use an iPod or phone while riding! All cyclists must ride within the yellow line and a single file if no yellow line. Keep left pass right. No sprinting on the wrong side of the road in front of Du Vlei. No dangerous or reckless riding allowed, you're not only endangering your life, but the life's of your fellow cyclists with dangerous and reckless riding!!! Be considerate to fellow road users.Mutual respect and consideration make for safer and more enjoyable travel. Always acknowledging a courtesy does make a difference. Please ensure you are visible with proper lighting with a proper working rear light as a minimum requirement. NO HELMET = NO RIDE. Remember it only takes one cyclist to give the group and all cyclists in general a bad name.

Everybody (Road bikes and Mountain bikes) is welcome and joining is free of charge only costing your time and energy.
