Running   United States Mill Valley, California

First run in 1905, the Dipsea is the oldest trail race in America. It's run every year on the second Sunday in June over a scenic 7.4ish mi course from Mill Valley to Stinson; many consider the race to be one of the most beautiful & challenging courses in the world. Stairs & steep trails make it a grueling and treacherous event plus with a unique handicapping system, any aged woman/man can win. Because of its popularity, for safety & due to environmental concerns, the number of runners is limited to about 1,500 each year—2022 will be the 111th edition, & we wouldn't miss it for the world.
