The āGreat Pumpkinā Ride is on and happening on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 6:00 p.m in the Secret Trails. Weāll depart from the Wagon Wheel Rd. trailhead that night. And, bonus . . . weāll be riding under a full moon! Donāt you love it when everything comes together? Ride will run about 10 or so Petrified miles, probably about 1.5-2.0 hours. Unless the El Cucuy gets us and we donāt make it back. Expect temperatures in the low 50ās or high 40ās throughout the ride. Intermediate trail riding on this one, avoiding the more technical sections of trail out there. Pace will be kept down pretty low so that more people (and kids) can feel comfortable joining us, and so as we donāt rouse the spirits any more than necessary. There have been several ghoul sitings out there in recent weeks, so we need to be careful. Our goal is to make it out with our lives! If that happens, expect Halloween candy at the end of the ride.
Costumes are optional! Bike lights are not, so get emā charged. And find those base layers now! Work up your courage! And seriously, if youāve never been on a night ride before . . . this is one to hit for sure.
Let me know if you are coming if you can. Itāll help me in planning.
