Here's your second chance of the year to Chase Lions from SE Portland. 
PDX Gold starts at Brooklyn Park, 3350 SE 10th Ave, and ends on the Springwater on the Willamette.
In between, we will hit the best cuts and climbs in SW PDX that Ronde PDX and Giro PDX couldn't fit in.
The climbs are generally shorter than the other routes and the "where even am I?" factor is higher.

The ride is free but please bring cash or Venmo if you are able to support Community Cycling Center and Gifted Wishes Foundation.  Donations accepted at start, middle, and end.

START:
Mechanical Support from Cyclepath PDX (TBC)
Skratch labs hydration (TBC)

MIDPOINT:
Aid Station at mile 31 at Spring Garden Park presented by skratch labs and Miriam.

FINISH:
Celebration station presented by New Belgium Brewing (and hopefully Athletic Brewing [NA] again) and snacks by Devin.

PRIZES:
Free haircut from Cutters PDX for the person who completes the course and has the most total elevation gain for the day.

ROUTE CHANGE:
I just got confirmation from the private land owner at mile 18.7 on the full route (15.5 on the mini) at the bottom of Ormandy Way / Hillside Drive we may choose to ride straight across Patton and through their driveway to connect to Westvale Drive / Downs View Court. Beware of gravel on the driveway. If you choose to do so you are responsible for your own actions and neither the owners nor I nor anyone else are liable. Ride at your own risk. The old route is still on option to you - right on Patton then left on 44th. 

PDX Gold 2025

The PDX Classics - Chasing Lions is a free series of challenging and rewarding hill climbing (mostly) road rides in and around Portland, Oregon. Five events are usually hosted from April to August each year. The main routes are all about 50 miles w/ 8000 feet of climbing + shorter versions. We build community & collect donations for Gifted Wishes and the Community Cycling Center.
