The people spoke, and the overwhelming majority chose to adjust the mass start time of the group ride to 8:00 AM due to the hot forecast. Since this is an informal event on open public roads and trails, you may start the ride individually at any time you choose.

Come out for the last (and best) PDX Classics ride of the year. Take a break from the MADE show to chase some lions and crush some hills.

After the huge success of De Raffle at de Ronde PDX, we're doing it again for Giro PDX. You can buy raffle tickets at the start, aid station, or at the finish before we conduct the drawing at 12:30. Prizes include items from Tailfin, Metropolis Cycles, Pedal PT, Bike Tires Direct, Kanspet 1, Ride With GPS, HiFi Sound Cycling Components, Ottolock, Ruckus Composites, North Street Bags, and more! Cost is $10 for one ticket or $40 for five. Need not be present to win, but present winners get the first choice of prize. Maximum two wins per donor.

As always, we'll have Skratch Labs hydration and nutrition at the start and middle, New Belgium, and Athletic N/A at the finish. The ride is free, with your donations supporting Gifted Wishes and Community Cycling Center.

Giro PDX 2025

The PDX Classics - Chasing Lions is a free series of challenging and rewarding hill climbing (mostly) road rides in and around Portland, Oregon. Five events are usually hosted from April to August each year. The main routes are all about 50 miles w/ 8000 feet of climbing + shorter versions. We build community & collect donations for Gifted Wishes and the Community Cycling Center.
