The Bluff Trail Stewardship Program

The Bluff Trail Stewardship Program (BTSP) is a collaborative initiative between Woodens River Watershed Environmental Organization (WRWEO) and St. Margaret’s Bay Stewardship Association (SMBSA).

Items to check for: Litter/Garbage (describe areas where garbage was located and note location of big items that you cannot remove safely or easily); Side of trail Edge Brushing and Low Branches; Deadfall and Windfall; Slope Erosion; Brook and Stream Crossings (are they safe do they need work?); Boardwalks in Good Repair; Trail Surface Conditions (wet areas that need to be addressed etc.); Trail Braiding and Trail Creep/Widening (are users expanding the trail or creating side trails to avoid obstacles); Signage in Place and Visible; Trail Markers Visible and Adequate; Vandalism; Illegal OHV or Bicycle Use; Other Safety Hazards.
