Founded in 1982 by Lon Haldeman, John Marino, and Michael Shermer, the UMCA is the leading international organization dedicated to ultracycling. We offer a calendar of ultra-cycling events where riders can earn points toward placement in the UltraCycling Cup and the World Cup of UltraCycling, and mileage toward the UMCA 6, 12 and 24-hour challenges. We also maintain and sanction long-distance records in a variety of categories (24-hour, track, road, cross-country and cross-state/province.)
