This hike loop starts at the mini-Harbour just accross the border in Eben-Emael. After walking along the Albert-Kanal you enter a little piece of forest and will climb the stairs towards the old military based on top of the chalk stones that surround the channel. Following the route, you turn left towards a great view point before heading further through nice trails towards the caves. These caves you can also enter, but take light with you if you do. If you continue you walk through a beautiful trail before climbing a steep set of stairs towards the further point. On the way back you cross historic spots with military remainings. On the route you'll find a couple of info boards on the history, as well as the flora and Fauna of this Mergelland area.
