Ryde to St Helens - A Seaside Ride

Cycling Route

Details
7.4 km
86 m
This provides an attractive additional route on the Island’s coast. Alternatively it can be combined with other routes as part of the East Wight Explorer https://redsquirreltrail.org.uk/loop-the-loop-east-wight-explorer/
Following the sea for much of its length, this route takes you along traffic-free paths and quiet roads from Ryde to the attractive village of St Helen’s, with its pub, classic English village green and the added bonus of a stunning National Trust nature reserve (The Duver) and beach stretching into Bembridge Harbour. The section to Seaview is fairly easy, level cycling. When you get to Seaview there’s a fairly steep climb for a short section as you head inland.
